Woo that what a while since I’ve read the first book. Can you believe I got distracted? The movie need to sink in I guess. But that yup.. I still do not like how the movie went. and how they changed The Lighting Thief cover into a “movie poster”. Ugh!
Regressing! Let’s talk about that cover! Oh my! The first impression was, is that an eye? Big *bleep* eye? Then I’ read that “part”. um… No, I’m not going to tell. *tee hee* Pick up and read already. So yes. That’s thumbs up for the cover artist. You rock!
Unlike the first book of the series, this book is fast for me. I think it’s because I fell in love with the series via the first book. The action didn’t tone down, it was still a page turner. full with action, drama, and of course that put the reader on the edge. Me like… actually me love. Yes, half of the time I still read Grover and see Grover the Sesame Monster monster. Big bow down to Jim Henson!
Anyhoo… it’s another success book for Rick Riordan and I am officially his fan! I’m worried how they are going to do the movie for this one. But let’s cross our fingers, shall we?
First Sentence. My nightmare started like this.
Quote. Families are messy. Immortal families are eternally messy. Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we're related for better or for worse...and try to keep the maiming and killing to a minimum.
The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #2)
By Rick Riordan
Via Goodreads. After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson is finding his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson, a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any normal friends. But things don't stay quiet for long.
Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders that protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters, the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia. Only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new name: The Bermuda Triangle.
Together with his friends, Percy must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family, one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke.

By the way; down to memory lane. I so miss eating this candy! It’s so popular while I was from my kiddy years to my teenage years and still do.
What this has to do with the book. None! just sharing =3
