The 100 Most Influential Women of All Time (The Britannica Guide to the World's Most Influential People)

Toward the end of her reign, Hatshepsut allowed Thutmose to play an increasingly prominent role in state affairs; following her death, Thutmose III ruled Egypt alone for 33 years. At the end of his reign, an attempt was made to remove all traces of Hatshepsut’s rule. Her statues were torn down, her monuments were defaced, and her name was removed from the official king list.

  10. I'll definitely put "Influential Women" on my TBR list, Lisa. Although I lean to fiction, also enjoy biography, memoir, and travel writings. Curious to see the women on this Who's Who list.

Thanks for already stopping by Summit Musings for my teaser about Lunch in Paris.

  19. Oh, Hatshepsut! She's so amazing, and I'm so glad that Thutmose III didn't succeed in his defamation.

I've been meaning to read something like this- it sounds like it's pretty brisk, though. Does it simply give their lives in brief since there's so many, or are they fairly good portraits of all one hundred women?

  25. Thanks for checking out my teaser!

I don’t read much non-fiction but this sounds like the type non-fic book I’d enjoy. As the mom of two girls I think a book about influential woman is something I should have on the coffee table when they get a little older. Have to encourage the girl power ;)

    Have a great day!
