Robyn asks: What setting (time or place) from a book or story would you most like to visit? Eudora Welty said that, "Being shown how to locate, to place, any account is what does most toward making us believe it...," so in what location would you most like to hang out?
Ancient China, Japan, Greece, Rome and Egypt, Tudors era. Why so many? It’s just I’m into History that much and these are my favorite areas to read into. Fiction or non, it’s good either way. These literature built civilizations and beautiful literature history. I love the attires, the community (well… most of them). These are the setting where everything is historically magical. in one way or another. The way they speak, the cultures oh.. all of them are exotic.

Yes, these places are wonderful to visit via a book, but I'd never want to be a woman living in these spots!

ReplyDeleteobviously these depend on status & gender, but sound good, one of mine was The great Library of Alexandria.
ReplyDeleteI said ancient Greece too. Granted, it was dangerous, but I would just love to get a good look at a Cyclops!
