Do you multi-task when you read? Do other things like stirring things on the stove, brushing your teeth, watching television, knitting, walking, et cetera?
Or is it just me, and you sit and do nothing but focus on what you’re reading?
(Or, if you do both, why, when, and which do you prefer?)
Not sure if it’s considered as multitasking, but I tend to sip in reading between “waiting”. Like reading between TV commercials, while waiting for my orders at the restaurant, traffic jams, waiting while it’s my turn in queues, waiting for a website to load, etc etc etc. I also tend to eat and read. It’s a bad (good) habit of mine, especially if it’s a very good book and a page turner. I tend to turn heads in public, when I whip out my Sony Reader and now I tend to get people reading over my shoulder, to hijack read; when I whip out and read the books in my iPhone.
Now I feel better...I do that too!
ReplyDeleteYep, I do a lot of that too. :)
