How do you feel about illustrations in your books? Graphs? Photos? Sketches?
Illustrations are alright in my alley. Personally, I have no qualms. Especially when they are available in Toddlers, Children, Young Adults, and of course non-fiction when featuring the subject matter and of course, regarding how-to books. Recipe books are awesome with pictures too.
As a school librarian, I have found out out through my very own observation, reluctant readers are more inclined to read books with any sorts of illustration in it. Wall of text novel doesn't seem to interest them much. *sigh* But that's the story.
