Since “Inspiration” is (or should be) the theme this week … what is your reading inspired by?
I'm actually lost in answering this one question.. Inspiration... *looking at her Mount of TBRs* well... I guess I just break this one down for you.
... Moods
What mood am I in. Random? Fantasy? Horror? Mystery? Thick? Thin? Sometimes I just picked out what I feel is the right book in that moment.
...Via author
Sometimes, I just have this moment, where I like to read every single book from an author. yes I ended up stuck when I ran out of books when that happens o.0
... Recommendations (peer pressure haha)
Thanks to my book blogger friends, and other bookies friends, I ended up with bunch of books. This epidemic usually happens during bestsellers, and after I run through the weekly meme like Teaser Tuesdays, Mailbox Monday, and course; Friday finds, not to forget A-Z Challenge. And people wonder how my Mount TBRs are that high o.0
...Curiousity / Interests
This is a habit I have since I was a kid. When I am interested on something, I ended up reading up everything on it. I have. Whether it's about rabbits, fish, history, mythology, ancient civilizations, cats etc, I would just soak it like a sponge. Why can't I do that with schools books whenI was still studying I don't know....Challenges
This tend to be a good drive for me to pick up a book. But sometimes I usually just take up more books than I thought I could talk. o.0 These challenges are such wonderful ways to reduce my tbrs as well, and kinda fun that I get to do it with other people as well. This also indulge me with my "list" compulsive disorder when it comes to books. I get to choose the books and then cross it out. ...Reviews!
Writing reviews tends to inspire me to read. This is exactly how I actually find new authors to read and discover great books. ...Covers!
You know that saying, don't judge a book by it's cover... well.. I never listen when It comes to books. A good cover usually gives out a good story... except a few I refuse to mention *tongue in cheek*
