    55 Quirky Questions for Readers

This has been running about the bookTwitters  all night long, but I was too tired to actually write a up a post until now, so what the heck. while Espeed decided to behave, I should do my post now. This is hosted by The Literary Lollipop, (feel feel to join in) and turned out to have been running for 2 weeks now. I'm really behind in this stuff lately due to work and bad connection. But sure enough... here are my answers!

    1. Favourite childhood book: Oliver Twist (Children's Version)

    2. What are you reading right now? Sweetness in the Belly by Camilla Gibb

    3. What books do you have on request at the library? None at the moment

    4. Bad book habit: Dog Earing Pages. Book hoarder. lol

    5. What do you currently have checked out at the library? None at the moment.

    6. Do you have an e-reader? Yes. PSR-500 and PRS-600. Does using my IPhone as a book reader counts?

    7. Do you prefer to read one book at a time, or several at once? Used to do a 3 at once thing, depends on what's at hand. Now, since I have an Iphone, I tend to have my books upload in it and read that everywhere.

    8. Have your reading habits changed since starting a blog? Yes! I found books that out of my genre, recommended by other bookbloggers, which I actually enjoy reading. My fellow book bloggers help me widen my choice of books. Drastically.

9.Least favourite book you read this year: Haven't encounter a book I don;t like this year.. YET!

    10. Favourite book I’ve read this year: I am Nujood, Age 10, and Divorced by Nujood Ali, Delphine Minoui.

    11. How often do you read out of your comfort zone? Occasionally, I would pick up one from recommendations from those Teaser Tuesdays, Mailbox Monday &On my Wishlist memes from my neighborhood Bloggers.

    12. What is your reading comfort zone? Fiction. Non-Fiction are just for occasional stuff.

    13. Can you read on the bus? Yes, just as long the road isn't bumpy.

    14. Favourite place to read: On my bed.

    15. What’s your policy on book lending? I rather read my books first before I lend it out, regardless how pissed off my peers are on that reason.

    16. Do you dogear your books? Yes. *cringes*

    17. Do you write notes in the margins of your books? Only in my text books while I'm studying, but in pencils.

    18. Do you break/crack the spine of your books? Never!

    19. What is your favourite language to read? English. I try reading Malay Novels but I can't seem to get into the book after that first page o.0. Non-fiction however, I could bear it.

    20. What makes you love a book? The characters, the flowing of the plot, fast pace, interesting, keeps me from putting down the book.

    21. What will inspire you to recommend a book? Motivational, inspiration, of just that it's an extremely good book!

    22. Favourite genre: Horror and Mystery/Thrillers

    26. Favourite Cookbook: I don't have a particular favorite.

    27. Most inspirational book you’ve read this year (fiction or non-fiction): I guess that would be I am Nujood, Aged 10 and divorced

    28. Favourite reading snack: Cheese Chips

    29. Name a case in which hype ruined your reading experience: The Twilight Saga. I have my own personal reasons.

    30. How often do you agree with the critics about about a book? I don't really care much about critics. I found great books, just because I've ignore them critics. as long as they wont destroy people's life and career.

    31. How do you feel about giving bad/negative reviews? As long as I'm honest about it, I would be fine with it. But of course, I make sure to justify why I give it out that way. I just hope I didn't discourage anybody from reading a book just because I gave a bad one o.o

    32. If you could read in a foreign language, which language would you choose? Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Russian.

    33. Most intimidating book I’ve read: None so far.

    Ramadhan & Announcement!

Hiya! It's the fasting month of Ramadhan! To fellow Muslims out there, have a good time fasting everywhere.

First of all, I would like apologize, for the lack of postings. My internet provider, ESpeed; has been acting too ESloth to my liking. I can barely stay online or load much in at home or any other places, other than work (but of course I can't post it from the work puter! >.<)

I have an announcement though, nothing big. I just want to say, I would be refraining myself from reading the Erotica & Romance Genre for the whole month of Ramadhan due to respect, and of course, because I am also observing the fasting month myself. Yes! I am actually not eating nor drinking anything from sun rise to sunset! Horrah for me! It's the second day, And for both days, I have been having heat waves problems. The heat waves is giving me difficulties, but I managed to get through the day until sunset.! Yay!.

Anyhoo, I will however still be accepting ARCS and Review copies of this this genre, but I will only be able to read it after the Ramadhan month is over.

I would still be reading though, mostly be under Children, Teens, Juvenile, Young Adults, Literature and other favorite genres of mine. In between, I would be posting reviews of Islamic related books, for the sake of the month itself. I kinda find some of interesting books in my own family collection, and where I work as well. So that would be some fun things to read. Don't worry, I won't be preaching. I'm just gonna review and such.

Hence it's kinda late, (yes it's just 10:30pm) but I have to get going. I need to get up for Sahor (early breakfast before dawn), and I have to work tomorrow, luckily just until 1:30 pm. I tell you more about it tomorrow.

    Review: Frindle; Andrew Clements

    Frindle
    by; Andrew Clements
    Is Nick Allen a troublemaker?
He really just likes to liven things up at school -- and he's always had plenty of great ideas. When Nick learns some interesting information about how words are created, suddenly he's got the inspiration for his best plan ever...the frindle. Who says a pen has to be called a pen? Why not call it a frindle? Things begin innocently enough as Nick gets his friends to use the new word. Then other people in town start saying frindle. Soon the school is in an uproar, and Nick has become a local hero. His teacher wants Nick to put an end to all this nonsense, but the funny thing is frindle doesn't belong to Nick anymore. The new word is spreading across the country, and there's nothing Nick can do to stop it.

Why exactly I picked out this book?
The cover looks interesting enough and of course, the word Frindle was the decision maker of why I've picked up this particular book without second thoughts. I really wanted to know what Frindle is actually as well.

My Thoughts ♠♠♠♠♠Nicholas 'Nick' Allen has alot of ideas, most of them is to avoid getting homework from his teachers. Come to fifth grade where he finally meets his match, Mrs. Granger, who can't be budge from her intentions of giving them homework and assignments.

Sprouting an idea, Nick decided to test the waters on word play, unintentionally fuel by Mrs. Granger. He started calling pens 'Frindle'. He got his close friends to join him on this particular task. Mrs. Granger doesn't seem to like the idea, and decided to challenge him. The word however has a life of it's own. Much later, Frindle run all over the town,. Nick has no power to stop it in any other way. His experiment was a success but it brought him trouble.

This is a great story for anybody would would like humor and sort of a challenge. Nick definitely promotes great ideas to improve life and actually find ways to make it work. That would give out any encouragement for anybody that good ideas, if initiate properly, with good planning, and of course with long thoughts would end up as a success!

I would love to see this book add up as a reading requirement for any reading list for any schools. It is fun, I actually laugh out loud at some parts and of course, motivate anybody who read it.

    Librarian Muse
Ok! Dear fellow librarians, get a copy of this book or recommend this book to your students and fellow teachers! This would actually be a one of the popular read amongst your student if you actually promote this book to them
