The Biggest propose library in Dubai?

..or just a screw up idea for a building. I was buzzing about in my email and found this particular subject. As a librarian.. I say wow.. that's some dream they have there. I actually looked up and wonder what's up with the story behind it, and from what I understand, it will be the biggest library in the world. It is called "Al-Hakawati" (the Story-teller). With moving arms and actually talking. The library will be build within this statue itself. and the place around it will be where people would settle down and listen to the building tells a story. I am actually impressed. I understand the uniqueness it probably bring on but not being a nag but, I thought Dubai was an Islamic country o.0 This kinda reminds me of the famous Zeus statue back in the days when the mythology was still alive.

An this is kind off creepy, don't you think?

And I say.. I can actually understand creativity, I can understand how people would like to turn a library into a place of awe and attracting patrons, making a trip to a library as a wonderful experience....

But this I like to say.. have they lost their knockers?

Imagine what can of worms, and jokes it will be...

IMHO, community is not ready for this.. culturally nor religiously. Plus this would become a big fat bullseye for extremist. And I'm not kidding... o.o
