Challenge Guidelines

• This challenge will run from January 1, 2016 - December 31, 2016.
• You can join at anytime before October 15, 2016.
• Books must be read and reviewed in 2016.
• Audiobooks, re-reads, short stories, and crossovers are fine.
• You don't have to be a book blogger to participate! You can track your progress on Goodreads, Shelfari, Booklikes, etc.
• Sign up on the designated Linky below with your post, shelf, etc. and leave a comment letting us know what your personal goal is.
• Link up your reviews each month via the provided linky!

Challenge Levels

• Read and review 1-5 horror books to receive the Running Scared badge and receive an entry into a giveaway to win a $5 gift card!
• Read and review 6-10 horror books to receive the Brave Reader badge and receive an entry into a giveaway to win a $10 gift card! 
• Read and review 11-15 horror books to receive the Fearless badge and receive an entry into a giveaway to win a $15 gift card! 
• Read and review 16+ horror books to receive the Horror Hound badge and receive an entry into a giveaway to win a $20 gift card!

The deets

• This is a 2016 challenge, running from January 1st, 2016 to December 31st, 2016
• For these purposes, I’m counting backlist books as anything published a year or more before the day you read it. So if it’s January 1st, 2016, the book you’re reading must have been published in 2014 or earlier
• Books must be read and reviewed. You do not need a blog to enter, but a tumblr, a Goodreads account, just some place to put a little blurb after you’re done reading. A review can be a traditional review, a booktube video, a few sentences on GR. It’s up to you
• I’m not going to have any levels or anything like that. Read as much or as little as you want!

The giveaways

• There will be two giveaways – one at the end of June, and one at the end of December
• The giveaways will be international, but you must be signed up in order to enter
• Every backlist review is another entry
• The giveaways will be for 2 backlist titles, for one winner

    Level 1: 13,000 pages read
    Level 2: 26,000 pages read
    Level 3: 52,000 pages read
    Level 4: 78,000 pages read
    Level 5: 104,000 pages read
2. A blog is not necessary to participate. Feel free to link to a Goodreads shelf or another public profile where we can see your books read.
3. Reviews are not necessary but a list of books is. There will be a link up for anyone who wishes to post reviews.
4. Crossovers from other challenges count!
5. Books started before January 1st do not count.
