♣ Open to a random page
♣ Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
♣ BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
♣ Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
The bag of numbered stones was produced. After they'd been checked, I reached in, dug down, and picked one close to the bottom. "Number twenty-three," the guard called out, having examined the stone. "The Path of Needles."

Lisa’s Top Ten Childhood Favorites
I grew up devouring alot of books and of course it resulted in alot of favorite popping here and there. Here’s 10 of them in a no particular order
- A Little Princess; Frances Hodgson Burnett. This was an accidental pick me up book. Nobody in my peers read this book, nor my family members recommended it. I was experimenting on reading thick books, and this just pop into my hands. I practically fell in love with it as soon as I sat down and started reading.
- Nancy Drew Series. I am so happy and lucky to say, the school I’d attended regardless a small library, it provide great books. I found this series when everybody (the girls) in my class was picking this up. It was hotcakes!
- The Hardy Boys Series. Yup, this is the “male version” of Nancy Drew. Of course we ended up flipping sides and picked this up for reads.
- Enid Blytons’s books. Does matter Famous Five to fairy tales, Enid Blyton is one of my first favorite authors growing up.
- Sweet Valley series. From kids, twins, to high, this was one of my staple fiction in school.
- Arthurian literature. I had my first taste of Arthurian literature from that small school library. It was this thick classic bound book where I would renew every week for the whole 2 months. The librarian back then was awesome.
- Oliver Twist; Charles Dickens. My mother bought me this book when I was child, to introduce classics into my early reading pool.
- The Three Musketeers; Alexander Dumas. Another classics bought by my mother to introduce classic readings during my early years.
- Chronicles of Narnia; CS Lewis. I love this book. the only reason why I read this series was I saw a BBC TV series on it when I was a kid. It' was hard to find this available in the school library and when I found them, it was a “I saw it first” moments.
- Choose your own adventures. Yup, I actually enjoy reading this series. My friends and I actually actually had, “What you get first?” & “Did your character die early?” conversations. It was fabulous!

Mailbox Monday is the gathering place for readers to share the books that came into their house last week. Warning: Mailbox Monday can lead to envy, toppling TBR piles and humongous wish lists.
These are the ones I got for last week =D Yup THAT many! Got them from friends, publisher, etc =D I'm just worried on how fast I be able to review them.
