Musing Monday: Wishlist

This week, Rebecca asks:

Do you keep a book wishlist, either on paper, Amazon/etc, or via a book database site (Shelfari, GoodReads, LibraryThing)? If yes, do you share this list with others (especially coming up to Christmas)?

Ok... My wishlist is kinda lengthy. It is as lengthy (of more) as my TBR list. It has a mind of it's own since every week (thanks to friends, family and fellow weekly memes recommendations). Hence people around me usually just commented about I have oh enough books for a life time to get some more. Which I hope, won't stop them to give me gift cards ;)

I have my wishlist everywhere, anywhere. The main one is rather in my Amazon account where I get most of my books. I also have them written down somewhere in a book. not to forget there is an Excel file dedicated to it somewhere, which I have a copy in my cell phone (yes I am pretty much equip on it. I have also started to have wishlist tags in my Bookcross, BookMooch and my personal sites. As for late, I have the inkling to make one in my "Oh The Mountain of TBRs" Blog. yes.. I can never be unequip with my wishlist!

So any takers?

Caroline didn't seem to notice. "A lot of things changed while you were gone this summer, Elena." she continued. "And just maybe your time on the throne is running out."

Elena had flushed; she could feel it. She struggled to keep her voice steady. "Maybe," she said. "But I wouldn't buy a scepter just yet if I were you, Caroline." She turned and went into the lunchroom.

BBAW: Reading Meme

Do you snack while you read? If so, favorite reading snack?
I try not to eat while reading. Messy!

Do you tend to mark your books as you read, or does the idea of writing in books horrify you?
I usually have post-its or paper handy to write notes on

How do you keep your place while reading a book? Bookmark? Dog-ears?
All sort of ways. Bookmark with a proper bookmark, used phone card, paper, post-its. I only dog-eared when I have nothing on me (much like an emergency)

Laying the book flat open?
Ouch! Spine!

Fiction, Non-fiction, or both?
Fiction mostly. But I occasionally dive in some non-fictions.

Hard copy or audiobooks?
Hardcopy and e-books!

Are you a person who tends to read to the end of chapters, or are you able to put a book down at any point?
Either. If I am in the middle of a passage where i'm in the middle of an action I have to finish the chapter. If it's a slow book, I could put it down easily.

If you come across an unfamiliar word, do you stop to look it up right away?
Not quite. I usually look it up after I put the book down.

What are you currently reading?
Battle of the Labyrinth - Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series.

What is the last book you bought?
Narnia Series

Are you the type of person that only reads one book at a time or can you read more than one at a time?
Depends on where I am. If I managed to bring the book everywhere, I just read one, if I left the book at home and got bored at work, I have 2.

Do you have a favorite time of day and/or place to read?
Night, before I go to sleep. In my bed.

Do you prefer series books or stand alone books?
Either is fine, but Series is a much more interesting.

Is there a specific book or author that you find yourself recommending over and over?
oh!!! I have so many to suggest! Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Narnia Series, Memoirs of a Geisha, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, etc!

How do you organize your books? (By genre, title, author’s last name, etc.?)
Depends on where. Physically.. by tbrs on dates I bought them on

“What about ‘What walks on four
legs in the morning’?”

“I beg your pardon?” the Sphinx said, clearly annoyed now.

“The riddle about the man. He walks on four legs in the morning, like a baby, two legs in the afternoon, like an adult, and three legs in the evening, as an old man with a cane. That’s the riddle you used to ask.”

“Exactly why we changed the test!” the Sphinx exclaimed. “You already knew the answer. Now second question, what is the square root of sixteen?”

Grover was sniffing the wind, looking nervous. He fished out his acorns and threw them into the sand, then played his pipes. They rearranged themselves in a pattern that made no sense to me, but Grover looked concerned.

"That's us," he said. "Those five nuts right there."

"Which one is me?" I asked.

"The little deformed one," Zoe suggested.

Now, the "Nobody" thing wouldn't have made sense to anybody, but Annabeth had explained to me that it was the name Odysseus had used to trick Polyphemus centuries ago, right before he poked the Cyclops eye out with a large hot stick. Annabeth had figured Polyphemus would still have a grudge about that name, and she was right.
